Software for any business function
We design, build, and run software for businesses of every kind. Where off-the-shelf software does not fit the way a business works, we build software that does, and we host, support, and update it as a service.
What we build
The software we build falls into six kinds of work, and a single system may combine several of them.
Workflows and approvals
Requests, reviews, and approvals that follow the business's own delegations, with a record of every decision.
Portals
Secure portals in which clients, staff, and suppliers exchange documents, sign off work, and follow its progress.
Integrations
Connections between the systems a business already runs, such as accounting, practice management, document management, and Microsoft 365, with data entered once and shared between them.
Data and reporting
Dashboards and reports drawn from the business's own systems, with each figure traced to its source.
Automation
Routine work such as reconciliations, document assembly, reminders, and data entry carried out by software, with exceptions sent to a person.
AI features
Document reading, drafting, classification, and search built into a system under the same controls as our AI platform.
Governance in everything we build
Every system we build carries the controls of our specialty, whatever function it serves.
Those controls include named accounts, role-based permissions, an audit trail of every action, and rules held as dated data. A business can therefore show how its software reached a result, whether the question comes from its board, its auditor, or a regulator.
How the service is provided
We host and run what we build, and each client uses it as a service that we maintain, secure, and update over its life.
Hosting
We host what we build on established cloud infrastructure, in the region set out in each client's agreement.
Integration
We connect to other systems through their published interfaces, and we keep a record of every connection we build.
AI features
Where a task benefits from AI, the producing model is recorded on every output, and client data is excluded from model training. Models run in the client's region where one is available, and a model hosted elsewhere is used only where the client opts in.
Support and change
We support what we build after go-live, and we change it as the business and its rules change, either within its subscription or as a separately scoped project.
Ownership
We host and operate the software we build as a service, on subscription. ZCM owns that software, including the work we do for a particular client, and each client owns its data, its content, and its outputs.
